Big Horn County Law Enforcement Center
Basin, WY
PROJECT PRIORITIES Located in Wyoming; where co-allocation allows juvenile offenders to be housed within the same facility as adults for a limited time, Big Horn County tasked GGA with creating a new, multi-jurisdictional Law Enforcement facility capable of serving a relatively large geographical area.
SOLUTION Noteworthy for several reasons, this facility embodies an exceptionally staff-efficient 11⁄2-post design for 88 beds in a podular, multi-custody arrangement. In addition, the facility includes a six-bed juvenile pod for short-term youth detainees. When youth are not being housed, this separate pod can accommodate additional female prisoners or special-needs adults.GA functioned as Project Designer and Security Consultant.
Project data:
- Detention, Sheriff’s Office, Juvenile Housing
