St. Joseph Water District Maintenance Offices

Project Background and Priorities

The City of St. Joseph wanted to construct their Water District Maintenance Offices on a tight site with soft soil due to its geographic location. Engineering addressed the soft soil bearing and underground piping. GGA designed a metal building with a brick veneer that matches other buildings in the vicinity, protecting expensive equipment from the elements. The design allows specified users to unload after plant hours via a security pass card system. There is a beam below the roof structure sized for a hoist for maintenance of the septage macerator equipment, allowing sub-assemblies to be removed for service.
