Project Background and Priorities
The 60-year-old Dickinson County Courthouse lacked a secure entrance and had inadequate space for all government functions in the facility. Renovations and expansion were required for additional Jail beds, another courtroom, and more space for County administrative functions.
Solution
An addition to the existing County building with a new Sheriff’s department and 64-bed Adult Detention Center. County offices and Court facilities were then renovated and expanded within the existing building envelope.
