Project Background and Priorities
GGA was obtained to design the City’s new Public Safety Center, replacing the City’s obsolete municipal Jail, courts, and Police facilities.
Solution
Construction of a new Police Department and Municipal Court Facility was undertaken. GGA designed the 30-bed Jail portion of the project. The facility holds detainees for over 30 days; therefore, dayrooms and an activity room were required even though it is a Municipal facility. GGA was the Criminal Justice and Design expert on the design-build team.
