Fremont County Treatment Center
Lander, WY
PROJECT PRIORITIES Early program analysis indicated a high incidence of substance abuse among repeat offenders, without other offenses. To respond to this trend, along with a rapidly increasing demand for juvenile beds, the County needed to build a Detention Facility which specifically addressed these issues. Officials anticipated that the facility would be utilized by federal and regional agencies who required multi-tiered treatment modes to fight addictive behavioral patterns in the community.
SOLUTION GGA developed an innovative tri-allocated plan, with one pod each for adults, juveniles, and substance abuse treatment, for a total of 164 beds within 43,000 square feet. GGA functioned as Project Designer and Security Consultant to the County’s local architect.
