CEDAR COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER
GGA was first retained to conduct a Feasibility Study to determine the most viable options for replacing the County’s cramped and outdated jail, originally constructed in 1956. This innovative project was completed in the Fall of 2014 and includes Sheriff’s Office, County Communications, 56-Bed podular, multi-custody Housing, and a 50-car Parking facility below the Jail to take advantage of the sloping site while relieving parking inadequacies around the County Courthouse.
Once GGA was able to work with County officials to develop the option for financing and operating a new 56-Bed Facility without increasing taxes, the County Commission directed GGA to prepare Bid Documents for implementing their Study recommendations.
